LOVE STORIES

Hi everyone! I was reading back through the posts here looking for information and I noticed all the dating surveys that popped up! I know most people didn't really like seeing them, but I thought that there's no reason not to make the best of things, right? So Nana and I decided to match up everyone with a survey! It is so romantic to think of escaping from here to start your life with someone new! Love blossoming out of a terrible situation!!

Sorry if you don't like your match, it was kind of hard to figure out exactly what was accurate from what was printed. And if we missed you, or you'd like to be matched, too, just let us know!

So, without further ado!

Bill Adama/Laura Roslin (I know: duh, right?)

Jim Fenner/Ariana Osgood

Donna Noble/John Preston

Simon Tam/Savil Ashkevron

Grell Sutcliff/Soubi Agatsuma (here's your prince, Grell!)

Toshiko Sato/Sebastian Michaels

Lee Adama/Kara Thrace

Voldemort/Shell Dockley

Vergil Spard/Deitrich von Lohengrin

Nana Komatsu/Tsuzuki Asato

Hisoka Kurosaki/Remus Lupin

Nope. Just you.

How do you know I do? I know because...because I've tried to do things I've seen magic types do when I'm in a room alone and I can't.

So as long as it were someone else who was saying what I say, then it would be acceptable?

Had you considered that magic is nothing as simple as riding a bike? That it takes years and lifetimes to perfect? So because you can't perform what others can, it simply isn't possible?

[identity profile] greatevillaugh.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Depends. Would they insult me?

Lifetimes? Uh...yeah, I only get the one lifetime. Sorry. And you can't really blame me for not managing to do something that it takes lifetimes to learn.

[identity profile] cobra-tribe.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
If you said the same nonesense to me that you just did, then probably.

Well, it used to take less time, but now you need to unlearn everything you think you know and start from nothing, like infants. But if you want to learn, it's possible. Laziness is another issue.

[identity profile] greatevillaugh.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You're forgetting something. I only get one lifetime. Then I'm dead, and I can't learn things.

[identity profile] greatevillaugh.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
...the person who wrote the song 'There's Only One Life to Live'?

[identity profile] cobra-tribe.livejournal.com 2009-07-08 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
And who is he to impose such a law on you against your will?

[identity profile] greatevillaugh.livejournal.com 2009-07-08 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh...that's not exactly a law, it's not like he's telling me I have to live one life. And how can you prove people can live more than one life?

[identity profile] cobra-tribe.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not in the business of proving anything. I don't make offers or promises, either.

You're free to take or leave what I tell you. The point is, everything is your choice. It's your choice if you want one life. It's your choice if you learn magic.

[identity profile] greatevillaugh.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Uh...you really can't choose anything. I don't want one life, that's my point. There's facts of reality and stuff, you know. Things that can't change just because you want them to.

[identity profile] cobra-tribe.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
And this is why it would take you lifetimes to learn magic. The dictates of the people who don't want you to know freedom are ingrained deep in you. Facts, reality, they're all governed by laws that can be broken with a little work and determination.

Things can't change unless you want them to change.

[identity profile] greatevillaugh.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Sure they can, but not through magic. I mean, with science you can change what seems to be facts and reality. You can build a time machine and do other stuff that seems impossible, but that doesn't mean everything's possible and anything bad that happens means the person didn't want it enough.

[identity profile] cobra-tribe.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing is true, (therefore)Everything is permitted. Your 'science' is exactly the same as magic, after magic was limited to a few learned elite. I suppose it will surprise you to learn that it is only a set of rules whose aim is, to ultimately strip you of all your abilities so there is no longer a way to save the earth from destruction when it's time.

Science is Magic without the wisdom earned in learning the consequences of using that magic. Those bad things that happen, happen precisely because people no longer understand the consequences of challenging the world and accepting the consequences of their actions. Your subconscious of course knows all of the possible consequences to your actions. Your failure to communicate with your guardian soul is what makes you into an unfortunate victim. He can't act unless you can wake him.

[identity profile] greatevillaugh.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
...uh-huh. Right. No clue what you just said.

[identity profile] cobra-tribe.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
The only thing you need to understand is that Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted.
If you can grasp that, perhaps in your next life you can learn magic.

[identity profile] greatevillaugh.livejournal.com 2009-07-09 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Right.
